We are opening a series of articles about the team KLONA. The first one I will tell you about today is the project manager, Artemy Drobyazko. Artem told me about work, leisure and what inspires him. Read about all this below.
How is your workday going?
My work day starts at 8:30 am and the first thing I do is make a list of tasks for the day. Then I estimate how long each of them will take. I make coffee and get to work.
Tell us in more detail what your responsibilities are
All my tasks can be divided into two large groups: strategic and operational. Strategic – these are tasks for the development of the direction as a whole. They take up most of my time. Operational is the work of attracting customers and processing incoming requests.
What do you love most about your job?
It is difficult to single out something specific. I love to communicate with clients and delve into the details of new projects. Probably my favorite part is make a presentation of the work already completed. It’s nice to see the results and get feedback from the customer.
Tell us about the most interesting project in the company
One of my first projects – design of a landscape and architectural layout. The task was this: to model and make a model of a real-life peninsula. The task was complicated by the fact that it was necessary to make a large number of small objects as similar as possible to the original. We have been working on this project for a very long time, and I learned a lot in the process.
The biggest challenge you faced at work
The hardest part is to explain to clients that industrial design is not just a pretty picture, but the creation of a functional device that will be sold. We often see underestimation of the work we have done and some misunderstanding. Because of this, sometimes a little disagreement happens.
What inspires you?
The main indicator of my work is profit. Therefore, first of all, it is, of course, money. And also the fact that we help create devices that make people’s lives easier. Together with our customers, we are changing the world. This is a very good motivator for me.
Describe your ideal vacation
For me, it is not so important where to spend my vacation, as with whom. I go on vacation with my family and friends. For me, the ideal place to stay is where you can watch different attractions and relax on the beach. For example, I have long wanted to visit the Salvador Dali Museum in Spain.
What do you think is the most important resource in the company and why?
Of course it is time. We often miss him. And also – command, who understands the goal and together looks for ways to achieve it.
