A project was created where the client could see in real time with the eyes and ears of the courier anywhere in the world. The essence of the project is a service and a software product. For implementation, you need a gadget – glasses with a camera, headphones and a microphone. Also, the Courier can send images to the glasses, for example, a hint where to turn, or a photo of the required object.
We were faced with the task of creating high-quality renders, including animation, that can be used on the company’s website.
There is no need to create a solid 3D model for production, but it was necessary to take into account all the contents (stuffing) so that the visualization was in real size, and if it comes to production, then the points will not change significantly.
The first stage of industrial design is the analysis of the market and the possibility of production
The industrial design of a case for an electronic device is built around the content – the electronic stuffing. First, we need to determine what kind of battery we need (it was decided to mount a small one because we will be powered to the power bank for a longer time), what diameter of the speaker (for the required sound quality), the dimensions of the camera, microphone and the main board with the processor.
To do this, we are studying the market for similar devices, as well as the market for consumables, where we can purchase a batch of components.

In addition to electronics, we need to decide what geometry the glasses will be so that they can satisfy the maximum number of users – fit and be fashionable. At the time of project development, a slightly square shape of frames is leading the market. More than half of all glasses have something similar. Ray band is considered the leader among brands (as it is customary to call this geometry, similar to Xerox), we took this form as a basis.

The dimensions of the entire “stuffing” are transferred to the 3D program, around which the construction of a 3D model of the hull begins.
Stage 2 – electronics layout and case construction

Stage 3 – Rendering MetaPax Points
First, the scene is created and the lighting is set. For such tasks, we use V-ray, or Cinema4D, or Key Shot.

When the angle is selected and the scene is set up, we are set to render at the final quality. Below is the result

Stage 4 – 3D animation for the site
The task is to create an animation for the site so that the glasses scroll and fly towards the viewer. Tes most, as it were, letting him try on the role of a courier. Create an animatic (preliminary animation sketch):

Total:
We created a completely realistic geometry, which is used in the project at the initial stage and can reach production without changes. We created animations for the site – which are realistic, and the user may get the impression that such a product already exists. The project is large-scale and ambitious, so we did it quickly.
