Depending on the number of layers

Single layer boards

This is the simplest type of circuit board. They are made from cheap materials and are suitable for low-frequency circuits.

Double layer boards

The next level contains boards consisting of two layers. Schemes in them get divorced much easier and the material used for manufacturing is more High Quality.

Multilayer boards

They are used for the most difficult electronic devices.

Depending on the properties of the material

Flexible Printed Circuit Boards

Flexible boards are built around a thin but durable dielectric. The flex board is the same as the rigid one in all but kink ability while maintaining their properties.

Rigid-flex PCBs

Such a board contains at least two dielectric layers: flexible and rigid. At the same time, in different places of the board, the design can be different in properties and the number of layers. Obtaining initial data and drawing up technical specifications

At this stage, the requirements for the design of the board to order are formed, as well as all existing initial data. After that, the exact terms and cost of the project are calculated.

Creating a schematic diagram

A schematic diagram is a visual display of the elements of an electrical device and the connections between them. Based on this scheme, the board will be developed.

Formation of a library of components

A list of each component of the board and its complete description is created. Namely: size, function, electrical performance, etc.

Placing components on a PCB

This is followed by the preliminary placement of components and the establishment of connections between them. It can be performed both manually and in a special program.


This is the design of conductors between elements, i.e. establishing connections between all elements of the printed circuit board.

Checking and making edits

At the end of the routing process, the board is thoroughly tested to perform all functions. Provided that inaccuracies or errors are found, the necessary corrections are made.

Registration of design documentation

When we are convinced that the board is completely ready and fulfills the assigned functions, then we proceed to the design of the design documentation required for production.


Additive way

With the additive method, the pattern is applied to the non-foil material by chemical copper plating through a protective mask.

Subtractive way

The subtractive method involves the formation of a pattern on a foil material, by removing unnecessary areas.
